Karl "The Kamera" Attisha

A dedicated Hull City fan, Karl has joined the Yodare support team and now become it’s number 1 photographer with adoring fans on social media clammering for his snaps. It’s been a steep learning curve as Karl isn’t a sailor but he’s already mastered the radio chatter and can de-rig Yoda almost as quickly as a Formula 1 team can change a set of tyres! looking forward to his company as we try and get these islands all finished.

Earl Read-Ward

Earl is a good friend and since taking early retirement he’s been helping as support crew on some of the Yodare adventures. A keen sailor and outdoor person Earl loves nothing more than wading into the water to help drag Yoda and myself out after a long day on the water.

Paul Harrop

Paul and I met back in our university days and despite being a big boat sailor or powerboat fan he’s found a way to love my little lump of plastic, Yoda. Always keen for us to make the most of every day’s adventure sailing, Paul is not averse to super early starts, although a “bacon buttie” reward needs to be fitted in somewhere. Again another one of some amazing friends that I’m so fortunate to have help on this challenge.

SNOWY

Snowy is our 27 year old campervan who is acting as the Yodare support vehicle. Snowy will be my bed at the end of each days tiring sailing as well as a store of sailing gear (wet and stinky!), spare boat parts and plenty of food to keep me going!

Sarah Desjonqueres

Helping liaise with the press, radio, sailing clubs and all things media related Sarah is the hard working Press Officer who supports the Yodare island challenge. Her enthusiastic writing ensures that everyone can share each island adventure. Without her support I’d never find the time to share this Island Odyssey with all our supporters and followers.

Nick Blackwood

Chiropractor extrordinaire, Nick keeps taking my battered, aching body and manipulates it into a new fit again state ready for more hours of hard gruelling sailing. Although the crunching sound of my bones still leaves me a little nervous, I have to admit that Nick’s magic certainly works!

Ian and Jane Pike

Ian and Jane are my amazing land based support team who supported my journey from Lands End to John O Groats. They will be helping out on the more challenging island adventures driving our support campervans and keeping a safety eye on me as I go round and round the islands. Although becoming grandparents is currently keeping them very busy!

Fly High Media

In the age of Social Media you need to know what you are doing – or if you don’t, find someone who does!  Matt and the team at Fly High Media are experts in digital marketing and with their support we can help spread the word about the Yodare adventure and help raise both awareness of, and funds for, Cancer Research and Oakhaven Hospice. A great team helping great causes.  Find out more about what they do at www.flyhighmedia.co.uk.

Giles Fletcher

Helping out with making Yodare look good is professional photographer and fellow sailor Giles Fletcher. Giles loves any excuse to come out on the RIB for a photo session and his photos really capture the challenge of sailing around all these amzing islands in a very small bit of plastic!. Find out more at www.gilesfletcher.com.
